Xbox Outsells PlayStation In Japan For First Time Since 2014
The sales in Japan for Xbox Series S last week surpassed those of PlayStation 5, making this the first time an Xbox console has outsold a PlayStation in any given week since 2014.
According to Famitsu, during the week of May 9 through May 15, the Xbox Series S console sold 6,120 units. Sales of the PlayStation 5 disc version and digital edition consoles were at 2,240 and 493 units, respectively, for a combined total of 2,693 units.
This specific incident is most likely due to the low supply of PlayStation 5 consoles whereas Xbox Series S supply is more plentiful. Last year, Sony reportedly told analysts that shortages for its latest console will continue through 2022.
The last time a similar situation happened was when the Xbox One was first released in Japan back in 2…

WoW Classic Season Of Mastery- Full List Of Changes
World of Warcraft Classic’s upcoming Season of Mastery is all about making the game more challenging, as detailed in the full list of changes coming to the old-school MMORPG.
While some of the changes outlined by Blizzard in a new blog post were previously confirmed, seeing the complete list certainly puts things in perspective. From more challenging raids and the removal of the buff/debuff limit to the addition of Burning Crusade’s Looking for Group tool, this version of WoW Classic will definitely be a new experience for players who know the original version of Azeroth like the back of their hand. Season of Mastery also looks to include an “ironman” mode, where players can see how far they can make it without dying.

Xbox Pushing Ahead With Plans For Mobile Game Store, Which Isn't "Multiple Years Away"
Microsoft is going ahead with its plans to create a mobile store for Xbox in order to compete with Apple and Google in the space.
In an interview at CCXP in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Microsoft’s Phil Spencer said, “It’s an important part of our strategy and something we are actively working on today not only alone, but talking to other partners who’d also like to see more choice for how they can monetize on the phone.”
While he didn’t mention a specific date for the mobile store, he did say, “I don’t think this is multiple years away, I think this is sooner than that.”
Back in March, Spencer said that Microsoft’s mobile store could launch as early as 2024, and that a big part of its merger with Activision Blizzard involved expanding its mobile games business. Activision…
Loki Is Genderfluid, Confirms Teaser Video
Loki has taken the forms of Captain America, Odin, and Thor in the MCU movies; he even once took the form of a snake, according to Thor himself, and the sky’s the limit for a trickster god. Now, Disney has confirmed via a teaser video that the character is genderfluid, as his ability would seem to suggest.
Check out the last couple seconds in the video accompanying the tweet above for a look at Loki’s TVA rap sheet. In Norse mythology and the MCU alike, Loki can take virtually any form he likes. Shapeshifters in Marvel and general fiction alike are often faced with the question, ‘if you can take any shape, what is your actual shape?’ While Loki seems to have chosen the body we see in the films–that of actor Tom Hiddleston–he’s anything but limited.
Xbox Isn't Done Acquiring More Companies, Phil Spencer Suggests
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has suggested the Xbox company might not be finished buying game studios. Speaking to Squawk Asia, Spencer said Microsoft doesn’t have the luxury to be able to slow down due to the competitive nature of the gaming market. He pointed to some of the biggest companies in gaming, Tencent and Sony, who are bigger than Microsoft in games and continue to acquire and invest in more teams and content.
“This is such a competitive market. I don’t think we get to press pause on anything. Tencent is the largest gaming company on the planet today, and they continue to heavily invest in gaming content and game creators,” Spencer said. “Sony is a larger business than we are in gaming today, and they continue to invest. It’s a highly, highly competitive market. We…

YouTube TV Could Be Getting Cheaper If It Loses Disney's Channels
Google’s live TV streaming service YouTube TV has given customers a cautious heads up, warning that the company’s partnership with Disney may not be renewed past its contracted date. YouTube has said that if the two companies can’t come to an agreement by the deadline, the streaming service will lose 18 channels–but it will reduce the service’s subscription price by $15 if that comes to pass.
The message was published on YouTube’s news blog, offering some transparency for customers who may be affected by the potential change. “Disney is an important partner for us,” a featured quote in the blog reads. “We’re in active conversations with them and working hard to keep their content on YouTube TV.” The Disney-owned channels at risk include ESPN, Freeform, FX networks, National Geog…
